Our team has a wide set of experiences across a number of industries and has a strong background in media businesses and marketing. As a team we have worked with some of the world's largest brands and also some of the smallest!
Paul is an experienced sales and marketing director with an international track record. His strong leadership and communication skills as well as his proven capability in sales and business development combine with excellent presentation and negotiating skills to make him an ideal choice for Sales & Marketing along with Simon.
Paul has been working in and around the branding and creative advertising world for a number of years and has gained a valuable insight into the processes and management of advertising campaigns, both agency side and client facing especially in the Retail Sector. Paul has worked with numerous Blue Chip brands, from Sony to HSBC on a number of online projets.
Paul is also a partner in the other AirMedia companies, AirBrand, AirPod and AirOutdoor.
Simon is a serial entrepreneur, specialising in building businesses. He has significant business experience, having built and sold a successful international consulting practice and a CRM software business. Simon is a hybrid; supplementing technical skills with broad-based business experience in a number of industries.
He now spends the vast majority of his time working with the AirMedia group of companies, as a partner in AirOutdoor, AirBrand and Airpod, though he is also involved in other businesses as a non-executive director or consultant.
After beginning his career as a journalist, Joel Turner made the move into PR and gained experience with a number of noted Yorkshire agencies.
He now focuses on digital communications; including online PR, social media and copywriting. And it is Joel’s flair for getting to grips with a business sector at speed, and communicating a company’s key messages to consumers or other stakeholders, that rank amongst his greatest attributes.
Joel’s spans a variety of consumer and corporate accounts. He has worked with everyone from SMEs to charities and social enterprises to multinational corporations. Retail experience includes working with leading UK shopping centres and online retailers.
After over 15 years providing general management support to a number of small businesses Hilary brings a wealth of practical experience to the team. With a solid grounding in finance, planning, and organisation gained through many different businesses, Hilary provides the practical skills required to ensure our business remains focused and efficient.
AirBrand's senior team has worked with a huge range of companies; from start-ups to major Blue Chip clients. Our team brings a wealth of experience and expertise to any project; considering the challenges from a number of different angles and offering a solution with tangible marketing and business benefits.

The challenge - We were asked by the directors of small independent sports retailer EL Sports if we could help them with their online presence. Unfortunately they’d had a recent bad experience with a company who did not deliver a solution they needed, and also over sold an ecommerce site that failed to work. We therefore had to demonstrate that our solution would be right for them and also deliver the results they needed.
The process - Before we started the build site we first assessed what they really needed from the site; what they wanted to achieve and how quickly it needed to launch. Once we had this information we could design and build a solution that was right for them; a site that was scalable and could adapt and grow as their needs changed. We worked with open source software so that the client was not ‘tied-in’ to a bespoke ecommerce engine – something we believe allows for future improvement /development with little or no extra cost. Being able to readily update the site was also important to the team at EL, so we provided training on how to use the site's Content Management System (CMS) and ecommerce functionality. The package was completed with an email marketing template and training on how to use the email distribution software - giving EL the means to market their new site to existing customers.
We delivered a full functional and editable e-commece site using the latest Magento platform. Within the first day of the site going live sales were achieved, the first being from a customer in Spain! Not only did the site exceed the expectations of the client, they have also asked us to now look at other areas of their digital strategy including SEO and Email Campaigns. The site is growing day by day as the client adds more content.
